We are currently looking for backpackers to join our team at Globe Trott Inns in London working on the front desk.
We are a 100 bed backpackers and pride ourselves on creating a homely & friendly atmosphere where people get to know each other and really enjoy their stay with us. London is a great town and it’s the only place to base yourself while saving up for your trips around Europe.
We are looking for an experienced backpacker with a passion for hostels and the lifestyle that comes with it. It’s a lot of fun, but you still have to have a mature and responsible head on you. It's very much a hands on role involving a lot of cleaning, using your initiative to problem solve and being the happy face and atmosphere of the hostel. You will be working and living with a small team, so team skills are also required.
The position is available now and you will be working on a rotating schedule. The job requires you to be flexible with working hours and be available days, evening, nights and weekends. It’s a live in role sharing a staff dorm with the rest of the team and you will also receive a small wage. You will receive training on our booking software (having experience using Backpackonline would be an advantage) and information about London to provide a suitable service to our guests.

Work Exchange in Costa Rica
Castle Tam Hostel is looking for volunteers. The hostel is located in San Pedro near the University of Costa Rica. This is an unpaid position but any volunteers are welcome to seek additional paid employment elsewhere. Short term commitments are possible but plan to travel either before or after your volunteering if your commitment would be less than 3 months. This is not a short-term work exchange positions, we need helpers who can

Hostel worker wanted NEW HOSTEL, PORTUGAL

Us:
We are a brand new hostel in Baleal, Portugal, just 5 minutes walk from the beach. We have 3 rooms (2 dorms and a private suite) with a maximum capacity of 12 people. We have a ´green´ approach to work and life and in an effort to minimise our carbon footprint we have handmade almost everything in the hostel, from the furniture to the decoration. We also bake our own bread and make our own jams and fruit juice.
The job:
The job will mainly comprise of housekeeping- cleaning the hostel to a high standard, making beds, laundry etc, helping out with kitchen duties and general hostel duties such as check ins and dealing with guests enquiries. In exchange for work we offer accommodation, breakfast and some extra food. The accommodation is not in the hostel, but in a private house 5 minutes walk away. We would like someone to start as soon as possible, at least until October but potentially longer.
The area:
Baleal is a bustling little village, an hour north of Lisbon, which fills to the brim each summer with tourists from all over the world. Located on a peninsular, Baleal is surrounded by miles and miles of beautiful coastline to the north, south and west, and is the best spot in Europe for surfing, attracting surfers from all over, year long. There are several bars, restaurants and a supermarket, all within easy walking distance from the hostel.
The candidate/s:
We are looking for someone hard-working and flexible who is able to work quickly and efficiently during busy periods. He/ she will take pride in their work, have excellent customer service skills and experience of housekeeping in either a hotel or hostel. The job would suit an individual or a couple.
